Hermetic Kabbalah is a Western esoteric system that combines the symbolic framework of Jewish Cabala with the philosophical principles of Hermeticism and other mystical traditions. Emerging primarily during the Renaissance and later developed within modern occult orders such as the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn, it uses the diagram known as the Tree of Life as a map of both the universe and human consciousness. In Hermetic Cabala, the ten sephiroth and twenty-two connecting paths are interpreted through a wide network of correspondences, including astrology, alchemy, and tarot, allowing practitioners to explore the structure of reality and their own spiritual development. Rather than being tied to a single religion, Cabala Kabbalah functions as a universal symbolic language for understanding the relationship between the divine, the cosmos, and the human mind.
